some more ABOUT john
In September of 2017, while temporarily working and living in the Virgin Islands, John went through the two largest recorded hurricanes in Caribbean and Atlantic history, locally called conjointly "Irmaria." This devastating blow to the islands wiped away many lives, power, internet, key roadways, most transportation, work opportunities, much food availability, many water sources, air travel, and a large collective sense of security-- for weeks to come. John and his wife Marcella, boarded-up in their home during both tempests, beat drums and sang to the high whistling tunes of these behemoths. With 250 mph winds rattling their door, John and Marcella never once felt deep fear-- even opting to stay to continue their work after the ravages of Irma. They also aided their landlords and neighbors in clearing tons of debris and dead power lines; and gave away many belongings in preparation to leave out of shear necessity in October, most donated to a local shelter of the elderly, children and homeless souls. Immersive learning of the essentials of life, begun eleven years before, crystallized as a new profound fortitude in John that was unprecedented; first emerging less than a year before when a drunk young man ran head-on into John's lane, crushing in half of his compact car while the young man's SUV flipped over three times 60 yards behind John. On the plane to Oakland, CA in October, John flashed back on how he climbed out of his mangled car to walk those 60 yards to wrap the shocked young man's bowed broken arm and set him to rest in the back seat of his compact. And John knew, as he does now, that no one else might understand this experience-- and it's quite all right with him. He found in these events that life is less about what you find than it is what you stand for in engaging it. And, still, no one really ever knows another's experience, unless they experience it themselves. It's how we hold it in what we do with it, what meaning we make from it, going on from there-- that brings steps or leaps, or transitions or transformations.
These events, and 50+ years of scores of life experiences, have given John countless references for his work as Life Guide-- a service that years ago he contracted with the universe to do (in maybe another phenomenal experience others can't quite fathom). He began his life's normal paradigm of learning with a BFA in Communications and a minor in Psychology in the US University system. John has held a myriad of occupations, including professional film and television actor, business entrepreneur and theater director. Then, John attracted the attention of a contemporary of Carlos Castaneda to study ancient methods and life enhancement techniques for eight years. His learning became further enhanced by a mystic worker of the New Zealand Micmac tribe, who also is a licensed acupuncturist and practitioner in traditional Chinese medicine/herbs. Ever grateful, the world was finally seen by John as pure potentiality, simply waiting for us-- another infinitely reflecting pearl in endless strands.
And John continues this personal contract, this service beyond himself, in his own work-- with heart, intelligence and impeccability. For a clearer sense of home for his work and an entry for clients, please check into the modalities.
